Education HQ Topic: Facial Hair Growth-------------Click Here

Most people believe that their facial hair grows back quicker if cut or trimmed. This is not actually correct. In fact, in all my 15 years of experience in the barbering profession, I have yet to find any educational reference that supports this myth. However, what I have come to know is that the hair growth process is a direct result of the blood stream and that cutting, trimming or applying ointments to the hair does not - I repeat - does not have any relation to the growth of your hair. What you put into your system and your stress tolerance affects your hair growth process.

The hair is divided into two sections - the hair shaft and the hair root. The hair root is the section beneath the skin, and the hair shaft is the section above the skin. There is a fraction of hair beneath the skin that is invisible to the naked eye after a shave. This fraction of hair is attached to something called a hair bulb, which is supplied by the blood stream. The hair shaft is that section that is visible to the naked eye - the section above the skin. When cut, it's cut as close as possible to the skin, which causes some people to believe that the hairs have been completely removed. This is not accurate.

If you want your hair to grow, as it should, maintain a balanced diet and practice stress management.
